The Daughters of the Cincinnati Scholarships are some of the biggest available to veterans and their families. It is specifically aimed at daughters of commissioned officers from the United States Army. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial needs and academic performance.

2. Purple Heart Scholarship Fund

The Funding Life Corporation and Scholarship Life offer the Purple Heart Scholarship Fund since 2015. Life has several charitable organizations working towards helping students reaching their educational goals. They have gained popularity because of their scholarship and the needs they fulfill by using the power of crowdfunding and social media.

This scholarship is specifically available to students of military families that have received a Purple Heart, a sign of a serviceman or soldier making the biggest sacrifice possible during their term in the armed forces. 5. Texas Armed Services Scholarship Program

The Texas Armed Services Scholarship program was initiated to manage higher education institutions within Texas. The board’s primary function is to help students get the funding they need to attain a college education. Several programs have been created to help students secure the funding they so desperately need.

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board is able to achieve its goal via the Texas Armed Services Scholarship Program, created to motivate students in Texas to join the ranks of the Air National Guard, the Coast Guard, the US Merchant Marine, or the State Guard. One way to give it back to the community is with the Capital One Military Dependent Scholarship, which is awarded annually. It was created to help veterans and their families with ambitious children that are serious about getting an education. If selected, a student can attain a scholarship of $7,000 for the college or university they wish to enroll in.

8. Anchor Scholarship Foundation

The Anchor Scholarship Foundation gives out Anchor Scholarships. It is a non-profit organization. It raises money to aid families of Navy personnel so that they can have funds for their college education.

What is interesting about this scholarship is that it is available to students from across the country, only if they have a direct relative serving in the Naval Surface Forces, or even if they have been honorably discharged. If selected, the student can get $3,000 of the educational funds for their college or university.

9. Horizons – Michigan Scholarship

The Women in Defense is responsible for the Horizons – Michigan Scholarship, created in 2007. It initially started as a non-profit organization. It aims to provide development opportunities and professional networking for men and women across Michigan.

The Horizons – Michigan Scholarship is offered to students that want to join the armed forces. It was created to encourage students to attain college degrees pertaining to the field of defense work. Selected students can get no less than $3,500 in educational funding.

10.  Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation

The Marine Corps scholarships are awarded by the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, which was started back in 1962. It is one of the largest and the oldest providers of scholarships for children of army personnel from the United States Army.

The scholarships are awarded to some of the most exceptional children and future leaders, belonging to a home of a Marine or Navy Corpsman. Students eligible for the Marine Corps Scholarships can get up to $10,000 in funding for the college or university they wish to join.
