Stage 3 – In the 3rd stage of kidney cancer, the cancer tumor has spread outside the kidney, but it has not spread to nearby organs. Stage 4 – Stage 4 kidney cancer has spread outside the kidney. It may have spread to the abdominal cavity, adrenal glands, distant lymph nodes or any other organs like liver, lungs or bones.
